Waking up without an alarm used to feel like a luxury. Now, it feels like a sign that I’m finally hitting my stride again. When the body rests deeply, the mind wakes up clear. That’s the COMAD lifestyle (Carnivore + One Meal A Day) doing its quiet magic.
🚫🍽️ A Fast I Didn’t Have Fight For
Tonight was supposed to be a tough choice—keep my word and fast, or join family for dinner. The dinner got moved to next week. So I got to keep my fast and keep my promise. And because I ate early yesterday, this fast is now stretching into nearly two full days.
That might sound extreme, but with decades of training, my body knows how to do this. Hunger doesn’t scream anymore—it whispers, and I smile.
“Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most.”
– Abraham Lincoln (or at least, someone who really gets it)
🧠 When Hunger Triggers a Memory
Out of nowhere, I remembered the farm I worked on back in high school. One of my teachers and his wife lived just outside of town. They fasted every Friday. No hype. No fuss. Just… part of how they lived.
And here I am, nearly 40 years later, doing the same thing. It made me smile. They were good people. It feels good to remember them.

Yes, I forgot my meds again. But here’s the kicker: I didn’t need them. My pressure dropped on its own, likely thanks to intermittent fasting and eating early. That’s worth watching.
This weekend, I’ll return to my wider 10-hour eating window, and yes, I expect a little bounce. But I’m no longer living and dying by the day. Weekly trends tell the real story. The pressure’s off. The momentum’s on.

All green lights today. This is what it looks like when everything’s working.
🧠 This Is What Mastery Feels Like
Today felt easy. But it wasn’t luck. It was earned ease—from years of trial, error, and learning. I didn’t wake up to an alarm, or to panic, or to guilt.
I woke up to calm. To clarity. To the steady hum of a system I’ve built that now builds me.
That’s what COMAD has become—not a diet, but a rhythm. 😊
📌 One Powerful Step Forward
Trade daily pressure for weekly patterns.
Focus less on today’s spike and more on this week’s trend. It frees your mind, calms your spirit, and keeps you in the game long enough to win it.
