Day 27: A Step in the Right Direction—Towards Healthier Living

Today was a reminder of just how much better I feel. When I woke up, I had some cramps in my lower legs. It was a sign that I may have overdone it with the walking yesterday, and that I could use some magnesium.

But unlike before, the cramps only lasted a few minutes and weren’t nearly as painful. This is progress! It’s a sign that my body is recovering more quickly than it used to.

Another unexpected win: I didn’t have to blow my nose this morning. Usually, I wake up and have to clear out a lot of mucus, but today, my nose was completely clear—just air. This small change is proof that internally, I’m becoming healthier.

Mucus is not something I thought much about before, but it’s great to notice this small, yet positive change.

Daily Progress

Here’s how I’m doing today:

Report: I lost 1.1 lbs (0.5 kg) today.

This brings my total to 25.6 lbs (11.6 kg) in 26 days.

That’s an average of just under 1 lb (0.45 kg) per day.

I’m confident that with continued effort, the combination of Carnivore Diet and OMAD (One Meal A Day) will keep me on track. Reaching my goal weight is inevitable if I stick to this plan.

Report: My blood pressure went up and down today.

My systolic blood pressure (the first number) went down by 4.

My diastolic blood pressure (the second number) went up by 1.

My systolic reading is now in the “Elevated” range (120/80 to 129/80) and falling. I’ll continue to monitor it. As I lose more weight, I expect it to keep gradually improving.

Report: My blood glucose went down by 0.3 today.

It’s now been in the normal range (3.9–5.6 mmol/L) for 22 out of the last 26 days.

This is the lowest my reading has been in the past 18 months, and I’m very happy about it!

Exercise

I did over 7,000 steps today. It’s been a while since I’ve actively focused on getting this much exercise, but it feels good.

I’ve got the Carnivore Diet part of the plan down, so now I’m focusing on the exercise side.

It won’t be as easy as just eating one meal a day, but I’ll make it work. My goal is to stay consistent and keep pushing forward.

For now, my goal is at least 5,000 steps a day.

Staying Committed to the Journey

The small wins are starting to add up—clearer breathing, less pain, and lower blood glucose levels are all signs that my body is changing for the better. These victories may seem simple, but they are powerful reminders that the work I’m putting in is paying off.

I’m focused on staying on track and sticking to my plan. I know that with patience and consistency, even more wins are just ahead. It’s all part of the journey, and I’m looking forward to what comes next.

See you tomorrow! 😊

Warmly,
Paul
