Day 33: Unlocking Peak Efficiency with a Simple Shift

I almost feel like I should dedicate a whole section to sleep in my blog. But, then again, that’s just the way my mind works. I tend to lean toward science, and while it’s accurate, it can also be a bit dry. I’d rather keep things interesting while still staying grounded in reality.

Today, I woke up feeling amazing, and as usual, I jumped straight into work. The combination of the Carnivore Diet and OMAD (One Meal A Day) has really brought out the workaholic in me. Yesterday, I spent just 20 minutes on entertainment, and the rest of my day was focused on getting things done—whether it was actual productive work or busy admin tasks. Both of those pushed my goals forward.

If you’re looking to feel like a powerhouse or simply want to get more out of your day, this diet combo might be exactly what you need! The meals themselves can feel simple and a bit repetitive, but the results in terms of productivity are incredible. If you enjoy the feeling of accomplishment or prefer a hard day’s work over relaxation, I’d highly recommend giving this a try!

Daily Progress

Here’s how I’m doing today:

Weight Loss

DateWeight (lbs)
Weight Goal176.0 (80.0 kg)
2 Jan 2025 – Day 1235.5 (106.8 kg)
31 Jan 2025 – Month 1209.4 (95.0 kg)
1 Feb 2025208.8 (94.7 kg)
2 Feb 2025212.3 (96.3 kg)
3 Feb 2025211.0 (95.7 kg)

Report: I lost 1.3 lbs (0.6 kg) today.

Total Loss: 24.5 lbs (11.1 kg) in 32 days

Average Loss Per Day: 0.77 lb (0.35 kg)

It’s great to see my weight going down after last week’s plateau. Today, I’m fasting throughout the day because I have some paid work, which means I won’t eat for over 28 hours. It gives my body a chance to use the food from yesterday to help build and repair itself.

Fasting is something I truly love. It allows my body to operate at peak efficiency, which is exactly what we were made for. We didn’t always have food readily available, and our bodies were designed to cope with times of fasting.

2 Feb 2025100/72107/73103.5/72.5
3 Feb 2025125/76130/79127.5/77.5

Report: My blood pressure went up today.

My systolic blood pressure (the first number) went up by 24.5.

My diastolic blood pressure (the second number) went up by 5.

These levels seem to be where my body works best. I’m not concerned, as I feel great and the numbers are still within a healthy(ish) range.

I’ll monitor this, but for now, I’m comfortable with these levels. The overall improvement in my health, energy, and mindset is more important than chasing perfect numbers.

Blood Glucose

31 Jan 2025 – Month 14.4

2 Feb 20254.1
3 Feb 20253.9

Report: My blood glucose went down by 0.2 today.

Days within the normal range (3.9–5.6 mmol/L): 28 out of 29

With 28 out of 29 days in the normal range, I’m seeing steady progress. I’m trying to aim for 4.2, which feels ideal for managing my insulin resistance and staying healthy.

Exercise

Today, I walked just over 2,000 steps. It’s a bit low, but considering how busy I was working indoors, I’m happy with it. I’ll aim for better numbers tomorrow.

Changing My Mind

I finished work so late that I decided not to bother eating. So rather than the OMAD eating I thought I was doing at the beginning of the day, I ended up doing a day of NoMAD (No Meals A Day) fasting.

By the time I eat tomorrow morning, before going to work, I’ll have fasted for over 46 hours; a very nice break for the body to get on with more important tasks than just digestion. I feel very good about this decision!

To most people, skipping a day of food just for the fun of it is something that would make them feel crazy. I understand; I’ve been there and felt that way. It’s something I had to build up to very slowly, but if I can do it, anyone can. It may be easier or harder for you, but it can be done. And the results of that discipline are too many to mention here.

Thanks for joining me on this journey.

I’ll check in tomorrow. See you then! 😊

Warmly,
Paul

Helping people is what lights me up. I’m a curious soul who loves diving into new ideas, uncovering hidden gems of knowledge and sharing what I find. Sometimes, my scientific side takes over, and I overthink things. But I’ve got a creative streak too. There’s an artist in me who loves to dream big and imagine the possibilities. But at my core, if I had to use one word to describe myself—it would be Engineer. I like to build things—whether it’s ideas, solutions, or meaningful connections. So let’s explore, learn, and grow together. I promise to keep it real, keep it fun, and always keep it supportive.
