Day 61 – Experiments with Energy: Sleep + Carbs

Last night, I got over six solid hours of sleep—and I feel fantastic. I woke up full of energy, ready to tackle a full day of work.

To keep that momentum going, I’ve packed some lunch to have alongside my vitamins and minerals halfway through the day. The B vitamins should give me an extra boost, helping me finish strong. At least, that’s the plan.

Daily Progress

Here’s how I’m doing today:

Since I’m experimenting with multi-day breaks from the Carnivore Diet, I fully expect my weight to spike even further tomorrow. This is part of the process.

My blood pressure remains within my preferred range (128/80 – 140/90), so I’m not concerned. Everything is on track.

📊 Today’s Change: +0.1 mmol/L
📊 Days in Normal Range (3.9–5.6 mmol/L): 52 out of 59

As predicted, my blood glucose has shot up, and should do so even more by tomorrow morning, if past results with regard to breaking my Carnivore Diet are anything to go by.

Leaning Into My Learning

One thing is crystal clear: carbs make me sleepier than the Carnivore Diet ever did.

That might seem like a drawback, but for my current goal—falling asleep earlier to improve my work performance—it’s actually a win.

That said, maybe I should have started this post earlier… or maybe I shouldn’t have eaten so much today. 🤔 Either way, every experiment gives me new insight.

See you tomorrow! 😊

Warmly,
Paul

Helping people is what lights me up. I’m a curious soul who loves diving into new ideas, uncovering hidden gems of knowledge and sharing what I find. Sometimes, my scientific side takes over, and I overthink things. But I’ve got a creative streak too. There’s an artist in me who loves to dream big and imagine the possibilities.
