Hello world… again. 😊
Back on Carnivore, starting fresh and focused again. It’s Day 1 of Round 2. I’m going all in to reach 176.4 lb (80 kg), no matter how long it takes. After a month off, I didn’t fall too far—but I definitely drifted.
I’ve been eating like most folks—back to the SAD (Standard American Diet). I also finished a book (on ethics!), kept busy with work, and enjoyed a little downtime. But deep down, I missed the clarity, strength, and simplicity of the Carnivore lifestyle. I’m ready to get back to it.
Daily Progress
Here’s how I’m doing today:
Weight Loss
| Date | Weight (lbs) |
| Weight Goal | 176.4 (80.0 kg) |
| 8 May 2025 – Worst day | 207.2 (94.0 kg) |
| 10 May 2025 – Day 1 | 203.5 (92.3 kg) |
📉 Today’s Change: 3.7 lbs (1.7 kg)
📉 Total Loss (in 1 day): -3.7 lbs (-1.7 kg)
📉 Average Loss Per Day: -3.7 lbs (-1.7 kg)
Weight gain was controlled, thanks to short eating windows. Even while off Carnivore, I kept eating within a 3–4 hour window most days. That made a difference. I gained just 10.4 lbs (4.7 kg) over 30 days. That’s an average of 0.35 lbs per day—less than I lost daily on the diet in round 1.
I think my body reset its weight set point, thanks to the long first round. That, plus short eating windows, kept things from blowing out.
It’s great to know that it was the combination of Carnivore and OMAD that made the real difference last time. That kind of information is invaluable.
Blood Pressure (BP)
| Date | BP – Before Food (Best of 3) | BP – Before Food (Worst of 3) | Average |
| BP Goal | 120/80 | ||
| 12 Apr / 24 Apr 25 | 134/86 | 161/88 | 147.5/87 |
| 10 May 25 – Day 1 | 151/86 | 168/88 | 159.5/87 |
💪 Today’s Systolic Change (1st number): +12
💪 Today’s Diastolic Change (2nd number): -0
I forgot my meds today, which explains the rise. I’m not against using medicine short term, but the big picture is still about diet, rest, and stress. Even when I am taking them, I don’t take them evey day. Taht doesn’t give the body a chance to eliminate any toxins within them. But I’ll take them whenever I need to.
My goal is steady: stay at or under 140/90.
Blood Glucose
| Date | Blood Glucose – Before Food (mmol/L) |
| Blood Glucose Goal | 4.2 |
| 23 Apr 2025 – Worst day | 7.4 |
| 10 May 2025 – Day 1 | 6.4 |
📊 Today’s Change: -1 mmol/L
📊 Days in Normal Range (3.9–5.6 mmol/L): 0 out of 1
I’ve seen this before. Blood glucose drops as long as I stay on COMAD.
The trick is patience. Just follow the plan, and it works.
Restarting Is the Real Test
Carnivore is clean and clear. Meat, eggs, butter, cheese—that part’s easy. Eating once a day? Simple. What’s hard is restarting the rhythm, especially the writing. Yesterday, I restarted the diet. But I didn’t write. And honestly? It felt like something was missing—like I had skipped brushing my teeth before bed.
Today I honored the promise.
Because writing isn’t just a record—it’s my reset. It keeps my head and heart aligned. It keeps me accountable, aware, and awake to what matters. So yes, I’m back. And yes, I’m going to write Day 2 now—because pretending I dropped 2 kilos in one day wouldn’t just be misleading… it would miss the whole point of this journey.
I’ve walked this road before, but this time I bring experience with me—more patience, more insight, and a deeper kind of purpose.
See you! 😊
Warmly,
Paul
