It’s Day 14 of my Carnivore Diet journey, and with two weeks of measurements under my belt, I’m starting to see the changes in my body. The numbers are beginning to tell their own story, and I’m excited to see where this path takes me. The progress I’ve made so far is very motivating.
Today was a NoMAD (No Meals A Day) day for me, and I have to say, it was surprisingly easy. One of the unexpected benefits of this way of eating is the amount of time it frees up. No prepping, cooking, eating, or cleaning up—just a few simple moments of mindful fasting. After fasting for 12 straight days in the past, I can tell you the grocery bill really drops too.
The only downside? My addiction to food. I felt the old cravings trying to sneak in, with the bacteria that love sugar screaming at me, saying “Feed me, Feed me NOW!” But, I’ve starved them off for now—those sugar-loving bacteria are on their way out!
Tomorrow, I’m looking forward to breaking my fast with a simple, protein-packed meal. I found a great recipe online (below), and I can’t wait to give it a try.
Daily Progress: Tracking Success
Here’s how the numbers are looking for today:
Weight Loss
Date | Weight (lbs) |
2 Jan 2025 – Day 1 | 235.5 (106.8 kg) |
9 Jan 2025 – Week 1 | 224.6 (101.9 kg) |
10 Jan 2025 | 222.9 (101.1 kg) |
11 Jan 2025 | 218.9 (99.3 kg) |
12 Jan 2025 | 218.3 (99.0 kg) |
13 Jan 2025 | 215.2 (97.6 kg) |
14 Jan 2025 | 218.7 (99.2 kg) |
15 Jan 2025 | 216.5 (98.2 kg) |
Report: Lost 2.2 lbs (1 kg) today.
This brings my total weight loss to 19.0 lbs (8.6 kg) in 13 days!
While my weight dropped overnight, it didn’t go back to where it was 2 days ago, so I fasted today. Based on my experience, that should help handle the weight jump from yesterday.
The average weight loss per day is slowly creeping up toward my goal of 1 lb a day. If things don’t improve, I might consider fasting for multiple days to keep pushing forward.
Blood Pressure (BP): A Positive Trend
Everything’s looking good on the BP front too:
Date | BP – Before Food (Best of 3) | BP – Before Food (Worst of 3) | Average |
2 Jan 25 – Day 1 | 155/103 | 166/102 | 160.5/102.5 |
9 Jan 25 – Week 1 | 159/108 | 162/98 | 160.5/103 |
10 Jan 2025 | 158/101 | 171/98 | 164.5/99.5 |
11 Jan 2025 | 169/106 | 152/97 | 160.5/101.5 |
12 Jan 2025 | 145/81 | 142/90 | 143.5/85.5 |
13 Jan 2025 | 133/86 | 142/88 | 137.5/87 |
14 Jan 2025 | 124/81 | 137/88 | 130.5/84.5 |
15 Jan 2025 | 121/88 | 137/81 | 129/84.5 |
Report: My blood pressure continues to trend downward, which is fantastic news.
Systolic blood pressure
The first number, which measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats, is down by 0.5.
Diastolic blood pressure
The second number, which measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart rests between beats, is steady at 84.5.
My BP is now between the normal range (120/80 – 129/84) and high-normal range (130/85 – 139/89), which is a great improvement.
Blood Glucose: Stable Progress
On the glucose front, things are also looking good:
Date | Blood Glucose – Before Food (mmol/L) |
2 Jan 2025 – Day 1 | 7.2 |
9 Jan 2025 – Week 1 | 4.6 |
10 Jan 2025 | 4.6 |
11 Jan 2025 | 4.1 |
12 Jan 2025 | 4.4 |
13 Jan 2025 | 4.4 |
14 Jan 2025 | 4.4 |
15 Jan 2025 | 4.8 |
Report: My blood glucose went up slightly today to 4.8 mmol/L.
My glucose is still in the normal range (3.9–5.5 mmol/L). This is a huge win for me, considering that before starting the Carnivore Diet, my glucose levels were either pre-diabetic or diabetic.
Now, they’ve been in the normal range for 10 out of the last 13 days! This change is a direct result of eliminating carbs from my diet—my personal kryptonite.
The Power of Consistency
As I continue on this path, I’m reminded that each day is a new chance to take control. The small wins I see each day—whether it’s weight loss, better blood pressure, or stable glucose—are a sign of the discipline I’m building. It’s a journey of transformation, and I’m learning that the key to success is consistency.
Tomorrow’s another day, and I’m ready for it. Thank you for being with me on this journey.
See you again tomorrow! 😊
Warmly,
Paul
