Day 36 – Feeling Like I’m 34 Again—The Power of Carnivore

I woke up at 7:45 AM today, and with less than 6 hours sleep, I’m feel amazing.

For years, I’ve wanted to do my best in everything I do, but I just didn’t have the energy or the motivation. That’s all changed now.

To put it simply, as Jack Nicholson’s character, the Joker, said in the 1989 Batman movie: “I’m baaack!” 😊

Daily Progress

Here’s how I’m doing today:

Weight Loss

DateWeight (lbs)
Weight Goal176.0 (80.0 kg)
2 Jan 2025 – Day 1235.5 (106.8 kg)
31 Jan 2025 – Month 1209.4 (95.0 kg)
1 Feb 2025208.8 (94.7 kg)
2 Feb 2025212.3 (96.3 kg)
3 Feb 2025211.0 (95.7 kg)
4 Feb 2025204.4 (92.7 kg)
5 Feb 2025204.8 (92.9 kg)
6 Feb 2025204.4 (92.7 kg)

Report: I gained 0.4 lbs (0.2 kg) today.

Total Loss: 29.7 lbs (13.9 kg) in 34 days

Average Loss Per Day: 0.87 lb (0.41 kg)

After losing 5.6 lbs (3 kg) two days ago, I’m now maintaining my lowest weight this year.

That should shift even lower by tomorrow, as I’ve been fasting the whole day today — 39 hours in total by tomorrow morning.

Fasting usually leads to a good drop in weight, but weight loss can be unpredictable. So I never quite know what I’m going to get!

Report: My blood pressure went up and down today.

My systolic blood pressure (the first number) dropped by 0.5.

My diastolic blood pressure (the second number) went up by 1.5.

Even with that slight rise in diastolic, it’s still within a healthy range below 80, so I’m feeling good about it. My blood pressure is moving toward normal, and it’s exciting to see these positive changes.

Internally, the changes in my body are becoming more and more noticeable, and honestly, it shows in my mood and the way others see me.

It’s so hard to contain this level of joy sometimes! I don’t want to shock my friends too much! 😊

4 Feb 20253.7

6 Feb 20254.7

Report: My blood glucose went up by 0.3 today.

Days within the normal range (3.9–5.6 mmol/L): 30 out of 32

Even though my blood glucose went up by 0.3 today, it’s still within the normal range (3.9–5.6 mmol/L). While it’s not uncommon for blood glucose to rise for a few days, I’m not worried. It could fall again tomorrow, especially since I skipped my one meal today and fasted all day after work.

Exercise

Today, I walked just over 500 steps. That’s a bit disappointing, but I’ve been working nonstop, so there’s not much time for exercise.

Over the next 14 days, I’ll mostly be sitting at a desk for work, both paid and unpaid work, so I’m not expecting much improvement in my step count.

I’ll keep checking my steps daily, but I won’t be reporting on them unless something notable happens.

The Big Picture

I started work at 10:30 AM this morning, spent an hour getting through traffic, worked for 8.5 hours straight, and then traveled another hour home. After that, I worked on side projects (like this one) until now, which is 11:50 PM. And the crazy part? I didn’t spend a single minute playing a game on my phone or computer. I went 16 hours without a break!

If someone had told me just over a month ago that this would be my life, I would have called them a liar. But here I am, fully motivated and energized like I haven’t been in decades.

I haven’t felt this way since 1995! And the best part? I’m not even tired. It’s as if I have the energy of someone 30 years younger, but with the wisdom of someone of 64. Isn’t that what we all want as we age? To have the wisdom of our years but with the vitality of youth?

Well, welcome to my life on COMAD (Carnivore + OMADOne Meal A Day)!

See you tomorrow! 😊

Warmly,
Paul

Helping people is what lights me up. I’m a curious soul who loves diving into new ideas, uncovering hidden gems of knowledge and sharing what I find. Sometimes, my scientific side takes over, and I overthink things. But I’ve got a creative streak too. There’s an artist in me who loves to dream big and imagine the possibilities. But at my core, if I had to use one word to describe myself—it would be Engineer. I like to build things—whether it’s ideas, solutions, or meaningful connections. So let’s explore, learn, and grow together. I promise to keep it real, keep it fun, and always keep it supportive.
