Day 48 – Youthful Energy on the Carnivore Diet

Well, I’m definitely back! After just over five hours of sleep, I feel absolutely incredible. The only time I’ve felt better than this was when I was 16, with my whole life ahead of me.

At 64, I think I’ve cracked the code on feeling youthful—wisdom from experience mixed with the bold energy of youth. This journey has been eye-opening, and today is another reminder that I’m on the right track.

Daily Progress

Here’s how I’m doing today:

Weight Loss

31 Jan 2025 – Month 1209.4 (95.0 kg)
6 Feb 2025 – Week 5204.4 (92.7 kg)
13 Feb 2025 – Week 6205.0 (93.0 kg)
14 Feb 2025204.0 (92.5 kg)
15 Feb 2025204.4 (92.7 kg)
16 Feb 2025204.4 (92.7 kg)
17 Feb 2025203.7 (92.4 Kg)
18 Feb 2025204.4 (92.7 kg)

Report: I gained 0.7 lbs (0.3 kg) today.

Total Loss: 31.1 lbs (14.1 kg) in 47 days

Average Loss Per Day: 0.66 lbs (0.3 kg)

Here’s the funny part: my average weight loss per day seems to be slowing. But I don’t care. I know that if I stick to COMAD (Carnivore + One Meal A Day), my body has no choice but to continue losing weight.

But honestly, with how incredible I feel mentally and emotionally, the number on the scale just doesn’t matter as much anymore. When you feel this much inner peace, everything else just fades into the background.

Report: My blood pressure is down today.

My systolic blood pressure (the first number) went down by 11.5.

My diastolic blood pressure (the second number) dropped by 0.5.

This makes sense—I worked 18 hours today with breaks here and there, and I still feel fresh at 3am! If stress impacts blood pressure, then I can see why mine is improving. Even with a long workday, I feel calm and clear-headed, something I never experienced on a carb-heavy diet.

18 Feb 20255.4

Report: My blood glucose went up by 0.7.

Days within the normal range (3.9–5.6 mmol/L): 44 days out of 47 days.

This is where I expect to see the biggest long-term benefits. With insulin resistance under control, my risk of age-related disease drops significantly. This alone makes this journey worth it!

Final Thoughts – For Today Anyway

I’m so grateful I committed publicly to sticking with this diet because I’d be a fool to stop now. If you’re on the fence about trying Carnivore, trust me—after the first two tough days, it gets better than you can imagine. The energy, the mental clarity, the sheer feeling of well-being—it’s all worth it.

See you tomorrow! 😊

Warmly,
Paul
