Day 55 – Carnivore – The Key to Clarity and Balance

Waking up today, I felt more grounded than I have since breaking the diet for a few days. I’m not back to 100%, but I’m grateful to be healing mentally, emotionally and physically.

Taking a break from the diet made me realize how much I value the clarity and stability that come with being on it. There’s something powerful about returning to my COMAD (Carnivore + One Meal A Day) routine—it’s a bit of a reset really, more than anything though, it’s another step in the right direction.

I’m realizing more every day that there’s a silver lining in all I do on the Carnivore Diet—whether I’m on the the diet, off of it, or getting back into it. Every step counts, and each one brings progress.

Daily Progress

Here’s how I’m doing today:

Report: I lost 0.2 lbs (0.1 kg) today.

Total Loss: 32 lbs (14.5 kg) in 54 days.

Average Loss Per Day: 0.59 lbs (0.27 kg).

Even though it’s a small loss, it’s still a win. I’ll work on dropping more by adjusting to a smaller meal portion tonight.

Report: My blood pressure is up today.

My systolic blood pressure (the first number) is up by 2.5.

My diastolic blood pressure (the second number) is down 1.5.

For now, I’m comfortable with these levels. They’re still under 140/90, which is is as high as I want it to go until I hit my goal weight.

My plan?

Keep monitoring, stay consistent, and let the diet do its work.

22 Feb 20256.0
23 Feb 20256.7
24 Feb 20255.7
25 Feb 20255.9

Report: My blood glucose went up by 0.7.

Days within the normal range (3.9–5.6 mmol/L): 47 days out of 53 days.

This was a surprise but not too concerning. I expected my blood glucose to be in the normal range by now. This is a marathon though, not a sprint. A day of eating less should bring it back into normal range soon.

Changing My Mind

If there’s one thing this journey is teaching me, it’s that health isn’t just about the numbers—it’s about mindset.

When I first started Carnivore, I had this rigid idea that success meant sticking to it perfectly, no matter what. But life doesn’t work like that. And honestly? That’s not how real progress happens.

Now, I see things differently. It’s not about never slipping—it’s about how fast I get back up.

Each day, I get stronger—not just physically, but mentally. I trust my body more. And even more, I trust myself. And I know that as long as I keep showing up, keep learning, and keep adjusting, I’ll get where I need to be.

I’m playing the long game. And I’m winning.

See you tomorrow! 😊

Warmly,
Paul

Helping people is what lights me up. I’m a curious soul who loves diving into new ideas, uncovering hidden gems of knowledge and sharing what I find. Sometimes, my scientific side takes over, and I overthink things. But I’ve got a creative streak too. There’s an artist in me who loves to dream big and imagine the possibilities. But at my core, if I had to use one word to describe myself—it would be Engineer. I like to build things—whether it’s ideas, solutions, or meaningful connections. So let’s explore, learn, and grow together. I promise to keep it real, keep it fun, and always keep it supportive.
