Day 63 – The Power of Quality Sleep: It Transforms Everything

I woke up feeling amazing this morning! Almost back to that spectacular high I felt just over a month ago. It’s incredible how much of a difference proper sleep makes.

In fact, I took it seriously enough to ask my boss for a later start time each day, and she agreed. The way I see it, I’d rather show up at 100% all day than be half-good just because I’m sleep-deprived. Plus, I already work more hours than I’m paid for most days, so shifting my schedule doesn’t change much.

And let me tell you—it feels great!

Daily Progress

Here’s how I’m doing today:

A solid drop, but that’s expected after a 48-hour fast. 😄

I’m excited to be closing in on the under 200 lbs (90.7 kg) mark again. At that weight, I don’t even feel fat anymore—I feel light, strong, and in control.

The Work-From-Home Trap

I got to work from home today, which is both a blessing and a curse.

For someone like me—who can easily slip into workaholic mode—it means I don’t just work from home. I work all day. There’s no office chatter, no lunch breaks, no clocking out. Just tasks, emails, and focus from morning to night.

I don’t mind it, but it’s something to be aware of. Balance matters. Even when chasing goals, you have to know when to step back and recharge.

Final Reflections for Today

I feel like I’m resetting myself, both physically and mentally. Sleep, fasting, and a little flexibility in my schedule have brought me back to life after a rough stretch.

The numbers are heading in the right direction, my energy is coming back, and soon, I’ll be under 200 lbs (90.7 kg) again. That alone is a reason to celebrate.

One day at a time. One choice at a time.

See you tomorrow! 😊

Warmly,
Paul
