Today wasn’t as spectacular as yesterday, but that’s okay. Not every day on a journey feels like a breakthrough, and that’s just part of the process. I feel all right—not amazing, not terrible—just somewhere in the middle.
It’s days like these when accountability becomes crucial. Luckily, I’ve committed to sharing this journey with all of you. Knowing I’ve made this promise keeps me going because giving up now would mean not just letting myself down but letting you down as well. That’s the kind of motivation that keeps me moving forward.
Even when it feels like you’re just going through the motions, it’s still better than doing nothing—or worse, giving up altogether. So, I’m pressing on today and hoping tomorrow brings new energy.
My Daily Progress
Weight Loss
Date | Weight (lbs) |
2 Jan 2025 | 235.5 (106.8 kg) |
3 Jan 2025 | 233.0 (105.7 kg) |
4 Jan 2025 | 230.5 (104.6) |
Report: Down 2.5 lbs (1.1 kg) today! That makes 5 lbs lost over two days, which is a fantastic way to start. Progress like this is encouraging and shows how powerful consistency can be.
Blood Pressure (BP)
Date | BP – Before Food (Best of 3) | BP – Before Food (Worst of 3) |
2 Jan 2025 | 155/103 | 166/102 |
3 Jan 2025 | 163/99 | 175/97 |
4 Jan 2025 | 166/97 | 169/100 |
Report: The results were mixed again.
Systolic blood pressure
The first number, which measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats, is up slightly today.
Diastolic blood pressure
The second number, which measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart rests between beats, is down, which is a positive sign.
Blood Glucose
Date | Blood Glucose – Before Food (mmol/L) |
2 Jan 2025 | 7.2 |
3 Jan 2025 | 5.8 |
4 Jan 2025 | 6.3 |
Report: Blood glucose is slightly higher today at 6.3 mmol/L, but still below where I started.
While it’s unusual for my blood sugar to rise on the Carnivore Diet, I’m still in the pre-diabetic range (5.7 to 6.9 mmol/L) and much better than on Day 1. Typically, my levels drop consistently until they’re in the normal range (3.9 to 5.6 mmol/L) within a week, so I’ll keep an eye on this.
For now, I’m happy with the progress. Even small improvements are steps in the right direction, and this isn’t a sprint—it’s a marathon.
Final Thoughts
Today reminded me that not every day will feel like a win, and that’s okay. The important thing is to stay the course, even when progress feels slower. Each step forward, no matter how small, adds up to meaningful progress over time.
See you tomorrow with another update! 😊
Warmly,
Paul
