Round 2, Day 31 – Reversing Insulin Resistance—One Consistent Day at a Time

Waking up rested, clear-headed, and excited to learn is one of the best rewards of eating clean. When your body’s in balance, your mind follows—and that’s a big part of what makes this whole journey worth it.

☀️ I Woke Up Happy Today

No alarm. No rush. Just peace and energy. That’s what greeted me this morning. I felt amazing—and dove straight into my study day with a clear mind and full focus.

I love feeling this good. Honestly, I wish I’d discovered this way of eating years ago. But back then, I probably thought I had it all figured out. Sometimes it takes life handing you a few wake-up calls for you to finally listen.

⚖️ Stick With It—It’s Working

The scale dropped today even though I ate over a 10-hour window yesterday. That’s progress, not perfection—and it keeps me going.

My next big motivator? Seeing my best friend on July 24. That’s my goal date—and I’m not backing off this plan until I hit my target. Plateaus, up-ticks in weight, boredom, sugar addiction – Nothing is going to stop me hitting this target – I’m staying the course.

❤️ Every Win Counts

My blood pressure is slowly rising again, but I’m tracking it closely. Taking meds some days instead of every day is already a win for my long-term health.

Even with today’s rise, I’m feeling more in control. I’ll keep adjusting and learning what my body responds to best. No panic—just steady work.

🧬 Sugar is Settling Down

My blood glucose is finally staying in the normal range more often than not. That’s a huge sign that I’m reversing insulin resistance—and why I’m determined to stick with this way of eating long term.

That said, until you’ve practiced the discipline of doing what you say you’ll do until it becomes habit again, be very gentle with yourself.

The plan is simple for me now: no breaking the diet from now on, until I’m down to my goal weight. And the longer I stay consistent, the better my blood sugar gets as well—and that’s the best fix for metabolic healing.

I’m working more with my body—not against it.

Another step forward today. A few bumps, but the road is still leading in the right direction. I’m learning to work with my body—not against it.

Set your goal, circle the date, and don’t let excuses break your rhythm. Every small choice adds up, but it’s the days you don’t quit that shape the outcome. Track what matters, adjust what doesn’t, and give yourself time to win.

And like me, if you do backslide, just don’t quit. Reset the goal and keep going. And I wish you every success with your own journey.

See You Tomorrow! 😊

Warmly,
Paul
