Fatigue can still show up unexpectedly on the Carnivore + OMAD diet, even when progress is steady. By tracking sleep, energy, and biomarkers like blood pressure and blood glucose, you can stay focused, adapt as needed, and continue making progress—even on low-energy days.
Today hit differently. I was tired. Really tired.
From the moment I opened my eyes, I felt it. And as I write this now—blinking heavy lids and pausing between sentences—it’s clear: my body is asking for rest.
That surprised me. By Day 6, I usually feel like I’ve taken off the brakes and started to soar. Last round, energy surged early. But this time? I’ve hit a low-gear day.
And that’s okay.
Not every day in a healing journey feels superhuman. Sometimes, the strongest move is knowing when to rest.
Daily Progress
Here’s how I’m doing today:
Weight Loss
Date | Weight (lbs) |
Weight Goal | 176.4 (80.0 kg) |
8 May 2025 – Worst day | 207.2 (94.0 kg) |
10 May 2025 – Day 1 | 203.5 (92.3 kg) |
11 May 2025 – Day 2 | 201.9 (91.6 kg) |
12 May 2025 – Day 3 | 199.3 (90.4 kg) |
13 May 2025 – Day 4 | 200.4 (90.9 kg) |
14 May 2025 – Day 5 | 199.3 (90.4 kg) |
15 May 2025 – Day 6 | 198.2 (89.9 kg) |
📉 Today’s Change: -1.1 lbs (0.5 kg)
📉 Total Loss (in 6 days): -9 lbs (-4.1 kg)
📉 Average Loss Per Day: -1.5 lbs (-0.68 kg)
Even with low energy, the scale moved in the right direction. In fact, I’m a bit surprised—by now, I expected a plateau like I hit in Round 1. But the drop continues. I’ll take it.
Blood Pressure (BP)
Date | BP – Before Food (Best of 3) | BP – Before Food (Worst of 3) | Average |
BP Goal | 120/80 | ||
12 Apr / 24 Apr 25 | 134/86 | 161/88 | 147.5/87 |
10 May 25 – Day 1 | 151/86 | 168/88 | 159.5/87 |
11 May 25 – Day 2 | 155/95 | 163/109 | 159/102 |
12 May 25 – Day 3 | 128/88 | 156/90 | 142/89 |
13 May 25 – Day 4 | 122/77 | 126/78 | 124/77.5 |
14 May 25 – Day 5 | 131/77 | 136/88 | 133.5/82.5 |
15 May 25 – Day 6 | 139/86 | 141/86 | 140/86 |
💪 Today’s Systolic Change (1st number): +6.5
💪 Today’s Diastolic Change (2nd number): +3.5
Still hovering near 140/90, but stable. If things hold or improve, I’ll stay off meds. But I’m watching this closely. Patterns matter more than single numbers.
Blood Glucose
Date | Blood Glucose – Before Food (mmol/L) |
Blood Glucose Goal | 4.2 |
23 Apr 2025 – Worst day | 7.4 |
10 May 2025 – Day 1 | 6.4 |
11 May 2025 – Day 2 | 6.3 |
12 May 2025 – Day 3 | 4.6 |
13 May 2025 – Day 4 | 5.2 |
14 May 2025 – Day 5 | 4.3 |
15 May 2025 – Day 6 | 4.7 |
📊 Today’s Change: +0.4 mmol/L
📊 Days in Normal Range (3.9–5.6 mmol/L): 4 out of 6
Another solid result. I’m still sitting safely in the normal zone. Exactly what I was hoping for—and proof that the process is working.
✅ Today’s Real Win: Listening to My Body
I’d love to write more. But tonight, even my thoughts feel like they’re wearing heavy shoes.
My body is whispering: “Not now. Sleep.”
And I’m listening.
This is part of healing too.
Even on a good protocol, even with the numbers looking great, even when the journey is steady—there are tired days. What matters is that I showed up. I tracked. I told the truth. I gave what I could today.
And now, I’m going to bed.
Tired eyes. Clear heart. No regrets.
Good night!
See You Tomorrow! 😊
Warmly,
Paul
