Round 2, Day 76 – Fasting Wins & Warnings—Learning from a Four-Day Reset

I won’t sugarcoat it—this morning was a little emotionally “meh.”

That’s the thing about fasting. When there’s no food, there’s one less thing that makes you happy, and the emotions sometimes reflect it.

Behind the scenes though, the body is deep-cleaning. It’s repairing, rebuilding, sweeping out all the junk. Fasting is the reset button we all wish we could hit. And the price of admission is the occassional bit of morning fog and a strong cup of resolve.

🥱 Emotions can dip, yes. But 💥 growth? That’s happening anyway.

Not ideal, but no surprises either. Two meds days in a row—first time this year. But I’m off-diet tonight, so I was already planning to take it. Still, my body’s telling me what it needs. I’m listening.

🧠 Motivation Check-In

💬 “Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most.” — Abraham Lincoln (or some internet someone who thinks he’s Abraham Lincoln : ))

Fasting reminds me that I’m in charge—not my cravings, not my schedule, not even my energy levels.

It’s not easy. But it’s simple.

When I want to quit, I remember that I’m becoming the man who doesn’t. And that version of me? He’s unstoppable.

🌱 Mindset Shift: The Beauty of “Less”

That all said, I’m feeling like this is the beginning of a bigger downhill slope than usual, so rather than plug on and bore you to tears, I’m going to take a couple of weeks off of my blog, and come back at the beginning of Month three, hopefully refreshed and ready to go again.

After all, this journey is about more freedom of life, not one more trap to contain us.

So…

😊 See You Then, My Friend

Helping people is what lights me up. I’m a curious soul who loves diving into new ideas, uncovering hidden gems of knowledge and sharing what I find. Sometimes, my scientific side takes over, and I overthink things. But I’ve got a creative streak too. There’s an artist in me who loves to dream big and imagine the possibilities. But at my core, if I had to use one word to describe myself—it would be Engineer. I like to build things—whether it’s ideas, solutions, or meaningful connections. So let’s explore, learn, and grow together. I promise to keep it real, keep it fun, and always keep it supportive.
